We all face this from time to time. If you’re like most, there are periods that feel like you will never get another deal. The things you are doing may seem pointless. You feel like giving up, throwing in the towel, and getting into a more stable line of work.
Sales is not for the faint hearted. The challenge is real as are the rewards. It doesn’t matter if you are selling nuts and bolts or multi million dollar properties, businesses or yachts. It’s the same process, challenge and principals.
When you hit the wall like we all do, it’s time to get back to basics and reflect on your previous wins. Grab your journal and write about your last four deals. How did you get them? Where did they come from? Then start fishing in those same ponds using the same bait and do it again.
It seems so obvious and simple, yet we all lose sight from time to time. Sales is a numbers game. Keep casting your net. If you caught one fish, then you can catch another. It just takes consistence and persistence!
